TASK: describe a website that you visit regularly.

First, write a text describing the website: which website it is, how frequently you visit it, what its address is, what you can find in it, and what you can do there.

Then study the text and memorise the information and the key words or structures that you need.

Your teacher will ask you these questions (not necessarily in the same order):

Which website are you going to describe?
How often do you visit that site?
What is its address?
What is there in the website?
What can you do there?

Example:

I visit the BBC website regularly, perhaps twice a week, or once every two or three days. Its address is http://www.bbc.co.uk/. There are sections about news, with videoclips and recordings, and it includes the tapescripts, so it is easier to understand the texts. You can practise listening and learn vocabulary here.

TIP:

To read a website address aloud, you will need to learn these words:

httpeitch tee tee pee
:colon
//double slash
www double u double u double u, or three double u's
. dot
.co.uk dot co dot iu kay
/ [forward] slash — do not confuse with \ backward slash
